R School

R School is Rodef Shalom's innovative supplemental religious school program. What does the R represent? We think it stands for Rodef, rooted, ritual, religious, relationships, "ruach" and many more values that we aim to include in our program. R School truly is our-school. 

Our experiential learning combines Shabbat morning programming with weekday classes and intergenerational family education events.

Our newly improved curriculum is grounded in Torah and we learn from participation and practice in Hebrew, prayer, holiday celebrations, life cycle events, and community service. 

Enrollment in R School is open to members and non-member families with children in grades kindergarten through twelve. Our religious school offers many opportunities for family involvement where parents can learn with/without their children. We encourage family participation in holiday events, community service days, and Shabbat programming.  Our curriculum seamlessly integrates Rodef Shalom’s B’nai Mitzvah program and enhances a Day School education.

While all aspects of our religious school program are essential and we believe it's important that all students share their experience with one another, we also understand that families have hectic schedules and cannot attend every program.
