On the Second Day of Rosh Hashanah, as has been our custom, there will be the opportunity to choose between two opportunities for learning and spirituality. These two special experiences will occur at the same time following the Torah service, in lieu of a sermon.

Or HaLev — a musical service of reflection, healing, comfort and hope with David Ross, Rabbi Rachel Kobrin, and the davening team in the sanctuary

The Book of Jonah & the Possibilities of Teshuvah

Our Sages chose the Book of Jonah as the Mincha Yom Kippur Haftarah to convey an important message about the potential for people to change and repent. But, like Jonah, many of us are skeptical that real change is possible - in ourselves or in others. In this text-based discussion, we'll explore the fascinating themes of this enigmatic story and our own attitudes toward the elusive goal of real and lasting teshuvah.

Inclusion Offerings at Rodef Shalom

The Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Committee is working hard and wants everyone to know what Rodef Shalom can provide!

We have assistive hearing devices to enhance the sound, ear plugs if you wish to lower the sound (disposable), magnifiers to help with the small print in the prayer books, and large print prayer books. There is a wheelchair if needed.There is signage related to bathroom facilities, the infant room, and preschool classrooms in Braille and English.
